Terms of Use

Version 1 · Effective date: September 21, 2026

Aries Labs did not create Alkanes or SUBFROST; nothing here is an official document of either.

1. Who these terms are between

This website is operated by Aries Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Aries Labs", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website and its pages.

By accessing the site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

This site is intended for people aged 18 or over, which is the same threshold our Privacy Policy applies.

2. No affiliation with Alkanes or SUBFROST

Aries Labs did not create Alkanes or SUBFROST; nothing here is an official document of either. The same applies to Ordinals, Bitcoin and Fractal Bitcoin.

We build products that use these and other open protocols. We do not speak for the projects, teams, or communities behind them, we are not authorised to represent them, and nothing on this site should be read as a statement, specification, endorsement, or approval issued by them. Protocol names, marks, and terminology belong to their respective owners and are used here descriptively.

3. What this site is

This site is informational. It describes what Aries Labs is building and links out to the places where those products actually live.

The site itself performs no product function. It holds no accounts, runs no wallet, takes no submission, and executes nothing on any blockchain. Anything you can do with our products, you do somewhere else, under whatever terms apply there.

4. No advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing here is an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to acquire or dispose of anything.

Descriptions of our products are descriptions, not promises of outcome. You are responsible for your own decisions and for obtaining your own professional advice before acting.

5. No custody, no brokerage, no user funds

Aries Labs does not take custody of your assets through this site. We do not hold, control, or have access to your keys, and we do not operate a brokerage, exchange, money transmission, or asset management service through this site.

Our stated design intent across our products is self-custodial: you hold your own keys and you bear the consequences of that, including permanent loss if keys or devices are lost. Where a specific product's terms differ, that product's own terms govern that product.

6. Third-party sites and services

The site links to properties we do not control, including source code hosts, social platforms, messaging services, wallets, indexers, explorers, and protocol documentation.

We do not control, endorse by linking, or take responsibility for third-party content, availability, security, or terms. Your use of any linked property is governed by that property's own terms and privacy practices. Verify the address in your browser before you act on anything on a site you reached from here.

7. Blockchain and protocol risk

Public blockchains and the software built on them are experimental and can fail.

Networks fork and reorganise. Transactions can be delayed, replaced, dropped, or confirmed in a state you did not intend. Fees vary by network conditions. Smart contracts, indexers, wallets, and node providers may contain defects or may become unavailable, and many of them are operated by third parties entirely outside our control. Data written to a public chain is public and permanent, and neither you nor we can delete it. Transfers are generally irreversible, and a mistaken transfer cannot be undone by us.

We disclaim these risks; we do not claim to eliminate them. Do not commit funds you cannot afford to lose.

8. Intellectual property

The site's text, design, layout, code, logos, wordmarks, and brand assets are owned by Aries Labs or used with permission, and are protected by applicable law.

You may view the site and quote short extracts with attribution. You may not use our names, logos, or marks in a way that suggests affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by Aries Labs where none exists. Our open-source projects are licensed separately, and each repository's own licence governs that code.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, to interfere with its operation or security, to gain unauthorised access to any system, to impersonate Aries Labs or any other person, or to scrape or overload the service in a way that degrades it for others.

We may restrict or terminate access to the site at any time, for any reason, without notice.

10. Availability and changes

The site is provided as-is and may change or become unavailable at any time. We may add, alter, or remove content, and we are under no obligation to keep any particular page, link, or statement available.

Statements about products that are not yet released describe present intent, not commitments. Plans change.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not warrant that information on the site is complete, current, or free of error.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aries Labs and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost assets, or loss of access to assets, arising out of or relating to your use of the site, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the site is limited to the amount you have paid us in connection with this site, which is nothing, or to the minimum amount applicable law requires where that law does not permit such a limitation.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aries Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the site are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and without regard to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

15. Dispute resolution; binding individual arbitration

Read this section carefully. It affects how disputes between you and us are resolved.

15.1 Informal resolution first

Before starting arbitration, contact us through the channel in section 19 and describe the dispute. Both sides agree to attempt, in good faith, to resolve it informally for at least sixty days from that notice.

15.2 Binding arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the site will be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its then-current consumer arbitration rules, before a single arbitrator, seated in the State of Wyoming, with proceedings conducted in English. Proceedings may be conducted remotely where the rules allow. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. The arbitrator decides questions of arbitrability, except as stated in section 15.5.

15.3 Class-action waiver

Disputes are brought only in an individual capacity. Neither side may bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative action.

15.4 Jury-trial waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, both sides waive any right to a trial by jury.

15.5 Small-claims carve-out

Either side may instead bring an individual claim in a small-claims court with jurisdiction over it, so long as the matter stays in that court and on an individual basis. Either side may also seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or to stop unauthorised access to systems.

15.6 Opt-out

You may reject this arbitration section by sending written notice through the channel in section 19 within thirty days of your first use of the site, stating your name and your intent to opt out. Section 19 provides a private route for that notice, and you are never required to publish your name in a public place in order to use it. Opting out costs you nothing else in these Terms and does not affect the rest of them. If you opt out, disputes go to the state or federal courts seated in Wyoming, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

15.7 Severability of this section

If section 15.3 is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim is severed to court; the remainder of this section survives.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the version line at the top of this page changes with it. Continued use of the site after a revision is acceptance of it. If a change is material and we can reasonably say so, we will note it on the page.

17. General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision is limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor in interest. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site, and supersede prior understandings about it. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency, employment, or joint venture between you and us. Sections 5 through 18 survive termination.

18. Language

These Terms are published in English. The English version governs. Any translation is provided for convenience only, and in the event of a conflict the English text controls.

19. Contact and legal notices

Reach us through our public source repository organisation:

https://github.com/Aries-Labs-HQ

Open an issue or a discussion there. We do not publish a contact address on this site.

Where a matter requires privacy — a legal notice, an opt-out under section 15.6, or a rights request under our Privacy Policy — open an issue there asking only for a private channel, with no personal detail in it, and we will supply one. Your notice or opt-out takes effect from the moment of that first request, not from the moment you send us any detail, so you are never required to publish your name to exercise a right.
